Minutes of the Twentieth Annual Meeting

The twentieth Annual Meeting of the American Society of Tropical Medicine was called to order at 9:15 a.m., Monday, June 9, 1924, at the Hotel LaSalle, Chicago, Illinois, with President Allen J. Smith in the chair. The first session of the meeting was attended by twelve members and visitors, including Doctors Smith, Shattuck, Lynch, Faust, Johnson, Smithies, Whitmore, Amaral and Barnes.

The Presidential address was delivered by Dr. Allen J. Smith.

Dr. E. C. Faust presented a paper on "Some facts regarding the relations between nightsoil disposal in the Orient and the propagation of parasitic diseases." This paper was discussed by Doctors Ransom, Smith and Barnes.

Dr. Afranio do Amaral presented a paper on "The biological differentiation of the neotropical species of snakes, Bothrops atrox, Bothrops jararaca, and Bothrops jararacussu." This paper was discussed by Doctors Smith, Ransom and Lynch.

Dr. George C. Shattuck presented a paper on "Further notes on the treatment of clonorchiasis."
