1. The sulfonamides exert a bacteriostatic action upon V. choleraein media devoid of sulfonamide inhibitors.
2. Sulfathiazoleexerts the greatest bacteriostatic effect uponV. cholerae,and is followed by sulfadiazine, sulfaguanidineand sulfanilamide,in order of decreasing efficiency.
