The Persistence of Trypanosoma Cruzi in Dead Cone-Nosed Bugs (Hemiptera, Reduviidae)1

Sherwin F. Wood
Department of Life Sciences, Los Angeles City College, Los Angeles, California

Crithidias and trypanosomes persisted for many days in feces of various species of Triatoma experimentally killed by heat, and in the feces and body fluids of other cone-nosed bugs which had died a natural death.

Received June 29, 1942.
