This is a beautifully illustrated monograph upon the diseases of birds. It is of interest to parasitologists in that closely related pathogenic parasites occur in man and many of the lower animals, and to bacteriologists and practitioners of medicine for the same reason.

The work is divided into the following parts: Diseases produced by Viruses; Eschyzomycetoses; Eumycetoses, Protozooses; Helminthoses; Arthropodes Parasitas; Diseases of Nutrition; Anatomical-Pathological Alterations in the Various Organs, and an Addendum. An English translation of this work would prove most valuable, and it is hoped that such a translation will be made available in the near future. The authors are to be congratulated upon the production of this very thorough work upon the subject, and the publishers upon the beautifully printed text, half-tone illustrations and colored plates.
