Transactions of the American Society of Tropical Medicine, Thirty-First Annual Meeting

MEETING AT THE HOTEL STATLER, ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF TROPICAL MEDICINE AS GUESTS OF THE SOUTHERN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION, NOVEMBER 20, 21 AND 22, 1935.

The first session of The American Society of Tropical Medicine was called to order at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 20, at the Statler Hotel, Daniel Boone Room, President Edward B. Vedder presiding.

1. Doctor Ardzroony Packchanian read a paper entitled "Susceptibility and the Resistance of Various Species of Peromyscus (American Deer Mice) to Infection with Trypanosoma hippicum and the Possibility of Certain ‘Wild Mice’ Being Reservoir Host to Pathogenic Trypanosomes."
2. Doctor Herbert C. Clark read a paper by Doctor Carl M. Johnson entitled "Further Studies on the Transmission of T. hippicum by the Vampire Bat Desmodus rotundus murinus, Wagner." The paper was discussed by Doctors Clark and William H. Taliaferro.
