Blastomicosis Humana Generalizado por Cryptococcus (n. sp.)

In this beautiful monograph the author describes a new cryptococcus responsible for a generalized form of blastomycosis. It is a clinical, parasitological, pathological and experimental study of the infection as observed in man and in laboratory animals and is illustrated by 129 photographs and photomicrographs and 13 plates, most of which are colored. The monograph represents an immense amount of labor and is one of the most complete upon any form of blastomycosis that the reviewer has seen. The author is to be congratulated upon this study, and the publisher upon the excellent letter press and illustrations. It is a work that will undoubtedly prove of great interest to all students of mycology and adds still another to the already long list of fungi causing serious disease in man and animals.
