American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene

Directory of International Opportunities

Fourth Edition: 1997

This edition of the directory is revised and expanded and exists in two versions: one in print in this supplement and another on the Society's WWW home page. The print version is organized essentially as in previous editions but includes more information about electronic access and related sites. The web page version includes hyperlinks which should make direct contact even easier. Although the printed edition is revised and published once a year, the electronic edition is updated more frequently and as information becomes available.

This remains a work in progress. The intention is to revise and update it each year, and to refine the format and content so as to make the directory of greatest use to present and prospective members of the Society. Please send comments about the content, format or particular entries/listings to the following addresses:

1 Data for this directory were verified in the summer of 1997. While every attempt has been made to ensure that the entries are correct and complete, it is imperative that persons interested in any of the opportunities listed contact the relevant agency or institution directly.

2 Phone, fax and E-mail listings are for the United States unless otherwise noted. Non-US phone and fax numbers have a country code designated with a "+"; the country code for reaching the United States from abroad is +001. For electronic mail communications from outside the United States the appendix ".us" must usually be added to an E-mail address. Thus, from within the US, Dr. Aultman's E-mail address is ka6z@nih.gov; from abroad it is usually ka6z@nih.gov.us.
